Merit Scholarships

Merit Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic ability. They are tenable throughout a pupil's time at School, and may be set at one half, one quarter or one eighth fees. Music Scholarships are also awarded from time to time.

There is no separate scholarship examination and awards will be made on the basis of our Entrance Examination, interview and, where appropriate, musical audition.

The standard of performance necessary to win a scholarship will be high. Parents who wish their sons to be considered for a Music Scholarship should indicate this in writing at the time of application, giving details of the grounds on which they would like their sons to be considered. Where awards are made for musical ability, candidates will be expected to reach at least the normal standards required for entry in the Entrance Examinations.
